Lucca Comics 2009 - guide

Lucca Another wonderful year. The opinions are different states: some say that there was a fall in attendance, who instead it was just the impression due to the fact that the fair was more extensive and dispersed in the city, especially for the allocation of the stage. A large contribution he has given the good weather that allowed wonderful days to shoot, and cosplay photos.
For me this was a Lucca different from previous editions because I dealt with the organizational experience through association Flash Gordon. In fact, for two days I gave my contribution behind the scenes to rally the cosplayers for the race and do ... the bouncer! = P

This cute and colorful exchange with a journalist, I set out my 2 days behind the stage. An anecdote that symbolizes some discomfort in certain roles. But from the beginning and from what I've done in these 4-day event.
This year the holiday fell on a Sunday, then Thursday and Friday I worked to get to the end of fair for group dinners. The first day I ate together with the staff Ankama Games, the French company that I already knew from the Japan Expo Dofus due to gambling. The chosen restaurant was a little square near the center of Lucca. My trusty friend / enemy tom tom has led me on foot making me do laps immense. Perhaps in his heart he wanted to get me there deliberately delayed giving the impression of being a kind of VIP
= P The place was very chic. Here I met the designer and other personnel responsible for including the chief of staff who happens to have known already in Paris. After dinner, and thanks for giving me the evening, I discovered that one of them is a fan of Italian comic dated. While his friends looked at him with friendly mockery, he showed everyone the material obtained on the first day of Cattivik including stamps, coconut and Lupo Alberto bill, a register of Diabolik and Kriminal of volumone! (Even I do not know him XD)
After the evening I returned to Florence.

Friday I worked and I went back to the fair in the evening, but this time throughout the weekend.
I managed to find a place for the night of Fri & Sat just outside the city at 28 € including breakfast! Even
Friday night I arrived in Lucca for dinner only. The evening was joined by many members of ANAC in a room where I had been in the past. Surprise of surprises? Next to our table to find new boys dell'Ankama! Photos, jokes and exchanges of views between the two tables and you are turning the city streets until one pass.

I got tired in B & B where, before falling asleep, I met mei roommates and I've exchanged a few words ^ ^
Saturday morning, beautiful day and a hearty breakfast! At about 9 I was already on the outskirts of Lucca after a refreshing shower. Up to 12 I toured the various booths and pictures of cosplayers.
from about 12 to 17 I gave a hand to Flash Gordon. Initially, my contribution was to help members find and put them in line as they get up on stage. Then I also had the duty to prevent any person not entered the race, with a few exceptions, entered in the fenced area behind the stage. For many reasons I will not explain Lucca this year moved the stage walls and fenced the rear (later write a separate topic). In order to prevent speculation and trouble from the people, have adopted this method. The evening continued with the association in a restaurant near the FlashGordon stazione.Fra a bite and a review of the competition with the new rules we pulled up at one. I, along with two other friends, we headed inside the walls of the city to eat a crepe. After an abundant supply of sugar we all went to bed!

Last Day: Sunday
Like Saturday I'm up early and am going to give me a ride to the stands before it became impossible with all the people who would come. I found some time to then go before closing time. At 12 I went back to the stage area to help out as the day before for another cosplay contest. Peaceful race until the end apart from the story that I mentioned at the beginning of the report. exiting the building I met Emily Pacotto and Leonardo, two voice actors in animated series. An exchange of small talk and son went last supper (not like that of Christ! XD) of these 4-day event. After dinner I am met with other cosplayers for a final lap inside the walls of Lucca looking for an open place in which to continue the evening. What I learned this year is that when Lucca ends on Sunday, ending indeed! Considering that the last day of the fair almost everyone starts shopkeepers close them! Now exhausted by 4 days of intense, at 11 pm there was not a living soul, and local usually open all day until late at night, with the shutters were drawn. ones left and I have directed the car to return to Florence. One thought I had at the end of this Lucca Comics: "The next year I do not care I'm working with the bouncer!" XD
